Fulfilling Your Publishing Business Requirements With SdB

The opening menu of SdB presents the user with a choice of titles currently managed by the system. SdB can easily handle dozens of titles from a single station logon, limited only by practical business considerations. For example, a fulfillment director may segment data entry personnel into publication group units and restrict the titles each group services to better manage multiple titles. This type of setup is also accomodated by the flexible architecture of SdB.

This demonstration includes two sample publications:
-- "Periodical," a 24 time football pub
-- and "Newspaper," a 52 time recreational newspaper.
The batch processing selection that also appears on the pub menu will be detailed later as it combines operations we will review in subsequent pages.

Selecting a publication is accomplished with a single keystroke (pressing the first letter of the item). All menus in SdB operate in this manner, allowing rapid navigation with very few keystrokes. (An alternate method, cursoring to the item using the arrow keys and pressing enter, is also available.)

Pressing "P" selects "Publication" and takes us to the Next page.
